Is it really Free?

The Pulp! Core rules are being released under a Creative Commons Attribution license. Each of our PDFs are released under a similar licence whenever possible.

That means you can download them all you want without paying a dime, legally. It also means you can make and sell your own Pulp! games without my permission. That being said its hard to produce quality products without some money. You can download Pulp! and all of our PDFs as Pay What You Want from DriveThruStuff.

Where does the money go?

Good question. First, I’m not going to lie, I’d like to pay myself back. The core rules, Estia and the first card deck where paid completely out of pocket.

Any income after that goes to paying for new products. Art, Editing and Layout all cost money. We have a lot of ideas with what can be done with Pulp! the more people who buy it, the more we can do.

You may have noticed that the website itself is a little threadbare. I’d like to sink a little capital into improving the over all look and feel to things.

Money after that will go to help bringing Beer Star Games products to store and conventions.
